Andaman is a ground floor bungalow, located in a charming residence (Oxala House) with typical architecture, well integrated into its green, 700m from one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. It has a direct sea view, a friendly pool and gardens of 2000m².
Oxala House is a residence for a militant alternative tourism, composed of 4 air-conditioned bungalows (hot and cold), tastefully furnished (at least we hope) and fully equipped (dishes + linens, towels ... ) from studios for 2 people to duplexes for 8. The bungalows are set around a swimming pool, all have private terraces overlooking the pool and access to the gardens.
Oxala House offers self-catering accommodation fully equipped to live in total immersion in the local environment, while being independent.
We designed this residence as a snub to mass tourism with its rampant variant "The All-Inclusive" ... a provocation to the behemoth in its own cradle: Djerba.
The residence is fully committed to the Charter of fair tourism, and promotes direct contact with local people. The residence only works with indigenous host communities and local service providers (housework, child supervision, tour guides, activities, sports discovery, cultural visits and / or thematic ...) selected for addition to the quality of service, integrity, and their desire to reconcile economic viability and sustainability.
Oxalá House is located on Djerba Island (Island of the Odyssey Lotus Eaters?)In southern Tunisia. Specifically, the residence is located in the area of Sidi Mehrez, 20 minutes from the international airport of Djerba-Zarzis, 8km from the capital of the island (Houmt Souk) famous for its fishing port, its souks and goldsmiths, and 7km from the village of Midoun.
