Wonderful 5 Bedroom + 5.5 Bath Family Getaway | House in Memphis

Our home is an ideal house for a large family visiting Memphis for a wedding, graduation or the holidays. With a large eat-in kitchen, den, dining room and living room, there's room for everyone to relax or to get ready for going out. This perfect location in East Memphis provides wonderful amenities including three master suites, wifi access, a 60" flat screen TV with Blu-ray DVD and AppleTV, plus lots of privacy.

The Space
The main house has four large bedrooms, three of which have their own bathroom, plus an extra 1.5 baths. The den and living room are both great places to relax and hang out, and the dining room and breakfast room provide plenty of room to eat together.

If you need extra space, our poolhouse is a one bedroom, one bath studio with a queen bed. For groups needing more space, the poolhouse can be included in your reservation. Simply make your reservation for 10 people and mention you want to book the poolhouse too.

Please note that the main house has just five beds (a king, a queen, a full, and two twins), so we said we can accommodate 8 people, but we have a pack-n-play we can make available.

We have young children, so the kids' rooms and playroom, as well as the huge backyard, make the house very kid friendly. The house has original hardwood floors throughout and you are welcome to use our kitchen to prepare meals if you want to cook.

Guest Access
Generally, we ask that the pool be for looks only, but if you're looking for pool access, please let us know. There is a trampoline in the backyard, and for safety we have to insist it be off limits. Otherwise, you're pretty much welcome to the place.

There are three dedicated parking spaces, just for you, in the driveway (if you are in more than two cars, you'll need to park any others on the street).

You'll have access to our wireless internet. We also have Amazon Prime and Netflix connected to the TV in the den, accessible via our AppleTV.

The laundry room is just off the kitchen/breakfast room, and you are welcome to use our supplies for an extra load.

We provide key access to the house so you can get in and out easily, and we are generally available by VRBO messenger/text.

Interaction with Guests
You will have the entire house to yourself, so expect very limited in-person interaction and plenty of privacy.

The Neighborhood
We LOVE our neighborhood. We live just a quarter mile from a smaller neighborhood park designed for one year old to adults, and we are a mile from access to the Memphis Greenline (see our house pictures), a rails-to-trails system that covers a large portion of Greater Memphis. From there, you can walk, run, or ride to all kinds of options including High Point Pizza and Shelby Farms, the largest municipal park in the U.S.

Getting Around
Generally speaking, Uber and Lyft are readily available from our house. Our home is centrally located in East Memphis, less than five minutes from Poplar Avenue, Sam Cooper Boulevard, I-240 or I-40.

The house is 2 miles to Clark Tower or Baptist Hospital, 3.5 miles to Crescent Center and 10 miles to St. Jude/Downtown. When it comes to getting around quickly, you really can't find a better location in East Memphis.

Other Things to Note
Our house has four bedrooms with a total of five beds (a king, a full, and three twins). We also have a crib (in a bedroom with a twin), two couches, and several air mattresses, so let us know if you have an especially large party and we can try to accommodate. We are also happy to provide a pack-n-play for smaller children if you'd like.

If your party is bigger and you need additional space, our completely detached poolhouse (at the same address) can be included in your reservation. We have a yellow Labrador, but she won't be home while you're here. We just want you know in case of allergies and because, well, dog hair. Please note we do not allow other pets.
