Great cabin directly on the Caddo River with an authentic rustic vibe in a gated community. The river is just steps from the cabin with breathtaking river and mountain views. With 1500 square feet and an open floor plan, it's the perfect space for spending quality time with family. It has hand-scraped oak wood flooring throughout and post oak walls that gives it that true cabin feeling. It features 2 bedrooms downstairs (each with a queen), a bedroom upstairs (with 2 queens, 2 full trundles, 1 twin) and 2 full baths. A full size washer and dryer is located downstairs near bedrooms. The living room area includes flat screen TV, 2 sofas and a leather recliner. Please not that the indoor fireplace is not operational at this time. There is a flat screen TV in upstairs bedroom as well. Cabin has free WiFi. Dining area has table seating for 8 with an additional bar that seats 4. There is an outdoor charcoal grill (charcoal not provided), fire pit with firewood provided for free, tree swing, and 2 outdoor seating areas. The kitchen has oven, range, microwave, full size refrigerator, a Keurig coffeemaker and a regular coffeemaker.
The town of Glenwood is located only 1.5 miles from the cabin. There are several places in town that you can rent kayaks, canoes and inner tubes. The Glenwood Golf Course is located only 4 miles from cabin. If you're not in the mood to grill or cook, Glenwood offers several restaurants and fast food establishments. There is also a large grocery store, General Dollar Store and Family Dollar Store in town.
For a day trip, Glenwood is located only 30 miles from beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas where you can enjoy Oaklawn Downs Horse Racing and Casino, Magic Springs Amusement & Waterpark, beautiful Garvin Gardens, great hiking in Hot Springs National Park, the world famous bathhouses, and fun shopping in their historical downtown area. We are only 25 miles from the world famous Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas which also has a small waterpark. Rent a boat at Kirby Landing Marina at Lake Greeson, only 15 miles away for excellent boating and fishing.
