Summary: We stayed for six nights and overall were very happy with the hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, comfortable and cleaned to a very high standard, which made for a really pleasant stay. There were, however, a few things that unfortunately affected our experience. The rooftop pool area was quite disappointing. The hotel has a sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere, so we expected the rooftop pool to be a peaceful environment. Unfortunately, there were children running around, making noise and jumping/bombing into the pool despite the rules. This made the area quite disruptive and not the relaxing atmosphere we had expected. We also had a dirty nappy left behind one of the chairs on our balcony. We contacted reception to have it removed, but it took two days for this to be dealt with. We found this particularly unpleasant and unhygienic, and were disappointed that there was no apology or acknowledgement afterwards. On our final night, we unfortunately had a very noisy couple staying in the room next door. They were making a lot of noise in the hallway, and when I asked them to keep the noise down, the male called me a “b****” and were verbally abusive. We contacted reception, who called the room, but unfortunately the noise continued and they actually turned their TV up even louder. As we were leaving for the airport at 3am, we ended up getting virtually no sleep.
