Positive: Returned here after an awesome stay last year! Great location, cute comfy huts, nice chilled vibes with amazing campfire jams and animals!

Negative: Only downside was our welcome by Maya. When we excitedly arrived, she made us feel totally unwelcome from the off. The first thing she said to us was (before even hello) is that they were ‘closed for the season’ - when I explained I had a booking, she had a quick glance and said she couldn’t find it. Said I needed to show her the booking in my phone(all the while being really rude about it and treating us like we were stupid). My phone was out of battery, so as I began to charge it, meanwhile she found my booking. No apology or anything. she then asked my boyfriend if he was ‘nervous’ which was very odd and antagonizing. When we asked about the closed thing she said ‘well im sitting here working aren’t I?’. She then rudely asked for my visa. Such a shame as my 2024 visit was incredible - it goes to show how important a welcome to a place is. This kind of soured our stay there. Thankfully everyone else in dahab was absolutely lovely!
